Growing up in Trenton, New Jersey, actor Axel Roldos used film and television as a form of escape. After high school graduation, he saw an episode of “The Walking Dead” that changed his life forever. Watching the show, Axel realized that he was wasting his time working at a hotel and needed to pursue his passion to become an actor.

He moved to Atlanta where the series filmed and began working odd jobs, using that money to take acting classes. By chance, he met Kat Graham’s assistant, who was working on “The Vampire Diaries.” Eventually, that relationship helped him to meet his first manager. Living in his car to save money, Axel moved to Los Angeles where he realized that he wasn’t prepared to enter the industry, and so, he returned to Atlanta.

Frustrated that he couldn’t create his own opportunities, he paid a thousand dollars to attend the 2017 Atlanta Film Festival where he met director James Kicklighter. He pitched him on the idea of making a short film, and though Kicklighter was initially hesitant, they went on to create Angel of Anywhere. Co-starring Briana Evigan (“Step Up”) and Ser’Darius Blain (“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”), Angel is now streaming on Amazon and airing on cable through ShortsTV. The film has opened at festivals around the world with strong reviews.

Since shooting the film, Axel booked his first TV role on SyFy’s “Superstition” and modeled at El Paseo Fashion Week for designer Michael Costello. For Axel, his form of escape has now become his professional reality.
