Long Island fight for charity

The Long Island Fight for Charity (LIFFC) is the nation’s only all-volunteer charity boxing fundraising event and program. The LIFFC consists of 3 events, Boxer and Benefiting Charity – announced in June, the Match-Up – taking place in October, and the Main Event in November. The first two events are free and each centers around high-level networking. Thousands of companies are a part of this unique charitable event. In addition to U.S.A Boxing Officials and sanctioning, Long Island Press, prominent Community Leaders and global sports and entertainment figures participate as LIFFC “Celebrity Judges”. Since 2003, over 380 women and men have earned the title of LIFFC Alumni Boxer.

The LIFFC 16th Main Event to be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 will feature 10 or more bouts between volunteer charity boxers who have demonstrated their personal commitment to raising a minimum of $10,000 supporting the LIFFC organization’s singular mission to benefit local charities. Each Charity Boxer must commit to a specific regiment of intensive physical training and participation in all promotional activities and media interviews. Each Charity Boxer has the option to name a Long Island based charity they want to support. Every dollar over the initial $10,000 is split between the named charity and LIFFC therefore benefiting both.

Since LIFFC’s founding over $1.3 million has been donated to more than 50 Long Island charities. The LIFFC staple Long Island charities include: Long Island Community Chest, The Genesis School and, The National Foundation for Human Potential. Hundreds of men, women and children on Long Island are dealing with life’s struggles and have found life changing support through this event. Remember, you don’t need to box to fight for charity, you only need to sponsor or buy a ticket!
