Spring’s Here So Let’s Get Outside!
With Spring comes the warm weather, and the best way to take advantage of it is to get outside and take care of the mind, body and spirit. Here are a few suggestions.
Exercise: We are all thankful for indoor gyms, however, during the warm weather, switching it up and getting outside not only provides your lungs with fresh air, but studies have shown exercising outside increases overall energy, creates a more positive attitude as well as decreasing confusion, tension and anger. Catching Rays: The sun promotes Vitamin D. Vitamin D helps with bone health, healthy teeth, supports the immune system, protects against brain aging (dementia), and decreases symptoms of asthma. Lunch Time Walk: Okay, who doesn’t want to burn a few extra calories a day? Instead of sitting at your desk for lunch, get outside and take a walk.
